In 2012, J’Lein Liese asked me to travel with her to Kenya and Uganda Africa. She was going to witness the annual Wildebeest Migration and then trek the Impenetrable Jungle to see the Silver-back Gorillas. Open to having others join us, she asked if I knew anyone else that would be interested. So, I extended the invitations. Remarkably, eleven of my life-long girlfriends joined us on this adventure.
An unusual thing happened while we were in Africa. The way I thought about how I wanted to live my life changed.
Out of Africa
When I speak of that journey to Africa, I often share my excitement for the adventure. The idea of exploring a foreign land. What I really discovered was myself. A part of me was inspired by the journey in the company of friends who were seeking the same kind of discovery. It was on this trip that I realized just how travel can transform us.
That life-changing journey caused J’Lein and I to found Wisdom Quests. Today, our Wisdom Quests are travel masterminds. Travelers are able to remove themselves from their day-to-day responsibilities. This allows them the time and space to focus on themselves and their personal growth. Unlike anything most people have experienced, a Wisdom Quest opens doors you not only didn’t know were closed, but probably didn’t even know were present in your life. Wisdom Quests are a journey that just might forever change your life!!
Back to Africa
In September twelve powerful and successful women came together to mastermind in the Douro Valley in Portugal. Together we shared our current stories and returned home with a newly crafted story that enables us to live the life that we dream and deserve.
Our Wisdom Quest 2020 takes us to Morocco in April to continue our personal growth. J’Lein Liese will take us through her curriculum of “Lead with Conversations.” The 10-day journey includes Casablanca, Fez, Marakeech, and an iconic camel-ride into the desert for an overnight at the Scarabeo Camp.
